Visit Helena’s Visitor Information Center has a fun, friendly atmosphere in historic Reeder’s Alley. Job Description: Visitor Services Coordinator: The Visitor Services Coordinator includes responsibilities related to visitor information and events for the Helena Tourism Alliance (HTA). In addition, the Visitor Services Coordinator will assist the Executive Director with projects, programs, and administrative tasks. Visitor Services Coordinator Duties: o Greet guests and answer questions in the Visitor Information Center, disseminate information to visitors about Helena attractions, events, recreation areas, accommodations and encourage longer stays in the Helena area. o Maintain visual presence of the Visitor Information Center as well as order & replenish display racks with materials. o Respond to phone and online inquiries received from HelenaMT.com. o Maintain community events calendar. o Assist in monitoring and updating HelenaMT.com. o Create and post content for blog page and assist with social media ideas in conjunction with Executive Director, Sales and Marketing Manager, and Social Media Manager. o Provide event; convention; and sports service support. o Represent the HTA at community, state and regional meetings and traded shows as required and approved by the Executive Director. o Plan retail merchandise, maintain stock levels, and monitor performance. o Assist the Executive Director & Sales and Marketing Manager with Administrative Duties. o Assist in special projects and assignments requested by the Executive Director and other day-to-day activities to accomplish the goals and mission of the organization. o Work as part of a creative team to build and enhance Helena’s visitor offerings. o Maintain positive communications and foster partnerships with the hospitality industry, community members and leaders. o Assist in developing and maintaining a positive image of Visit Helena in the eyes of all visitors, partners, and stakeholders. o Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, WordPress, Newsletter & Survey Platform (i.e. Mailchimp, Survey Monkey), Instagram, and Facebook, and Retail experience a plus. Compensation: $18.50/hour. Hours =Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00.
